When you become a child of God; adopted into his family by the indwelling Holy Spirit, there are many attributes that set us apart from human families as we define them. The main aspect of the association within the family of God is the difference on how humanity views love and how the nature and definition of God’s love is drastically different. Jesus gave his life on the cross so everyone adopted into the family of God can have access to the Holy and a loving God; who since the beginning of time desired that his prized creation would have an intimate relationship with him. He also desires that we share the love shed abroad in our hearts to each other.

The truth of God’s Word to reflect on:

“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.” 1 John 3:16
