The Book of Daniel presents the narrative of one who was committed to worship the Living God. No matter what distress, pressure, or even new laws that were put in place, Daniel never compromised his time each day to pray to the God of Heaven and seek his face in prayer with consistency, honor and dedication. The narrative portrays a man who trusted God because he knew Him, and spent time in prayer; even spending a night in a den full of lions for his commitment.
The truth of God’s Word to reflect on:
“But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.” Daniel 6:10
