The Word of God makes it clear that following Christ will have its difficulties, heartaches, and sometimes what may seem like unmanageable circumstances that can result in pain and suffering. Because of the fallen nature of man that was established in the Garden of Eden due to Adam and Eve’s rebellion against God, we are all subjected to our own sin nature. Through the tough times in this life, remember that endurance will be established in our life, with the help of the Holy Spirit, so that we can overcome our sin nature and trust God more and more to obtain victory when trials come our way.

The truth of God’s Word to reflect on:

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.” Romans 5:3
