When we read through the pages of the Bible we can immerse ourselves in the narrative and messages that were not only meaningful for that specific period of time, but also for the time we currently live in. The Bible states that the Word of God is alive, which means we can apply its insights and principles to our lives in the here-and-now, and we can take notice of the relevancy and application so that we are made aware of what we can expect in this life. Don’t be surprised when you read the negative consequences of those without Christ.
