We can see warnings and directives throughout the Word of God that are given to his children to keep us safe from sometimes obvious pitfalls and areas in life that can turn into self-destructive outcomes, which inevitably will cause our lives unnecessary burdens. God desires only the best for his children, so we should certainly take heed to specific instruction and avoid compromise.
