As believer’s and follower’s of Jesus Christ, we are instructed to surrender our lives to his will and allow the Holy Spirit to willingly express the characteristics of the new nature that has taken residency within us; to increasingly express the true nature of God’s love that draws others to Jesus. Forgiving others when we have been wronged can undoubtedly have a profound effect on others in a positive way, because we too have been forgiven.
